*You do NOT need to read the book to attend. You, your ideas, and your experiences are enough.
In Revenge of the Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell explores the dynamics behind trends and how small changes can create massive, unpredictable shifts in society. This book dives into the idea of tipping points—the moments when an idea, behavior, or trend crosses the threshold from being obscure to mainstream.
Through a blend of storytelling and research, Gladwell presents new insights on how the power of the tipping point is being redefined in our ever-connected world. In our ATD Book Banter discussion, we’ll explore how these principles apply to Learning and Development, how we can harness these shifts to influence behavior in the workplace, and how the tipping point concept is evolving in today’s fast-paced, digital-first environment.
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation that combines theory with practical applications for modern training and development. Join us!
We want to hear your perspective, and welcome you whether you’ve read the book, skimmed the book, read the chapters that interest you, read a summary, watched a YouTube summary, watched an interview with Malcolm Gladwell, or want to learn from your peers and share your experience. You are welcome!
ATD Book Banter meets bi-monthly on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Club meetings will last 90 minutes and start at 11:30 AM with time for virtual networking.
We believe learning and growing together is fun. In the sessions we will talk about the book, ideas in the book, and how those ideas apply to our work and lives. Join us for a discussion of Revenge of the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, where we’ll explore how small events can trigger big changes. This book offers fresh insights for driving change and understanding how shifts happen in organizations. Hope to see you there!
