Micky will introduce you to practical tools, real stories, and deliver a motivating message that helps you take their next bold step.

Micky will also provide options at the end of our session for follow-up as well (a mini-series of workshops, online training options for those who want to lead the charge within the organization on their own, a mentorship challenge, or a group reflection session—to help keep the momentum going.

Meet Our Facilitators:

Micky Nye is a seasoned leader, mentor, and author with a passion for developing others. Over the years, she has built a distinguished career in the supermarket industry, holding leadership positions across merchandising, operations, and corporate strategy. Starting as a high school employee, she worked her way up to become the first female store director at a New England based chain before serving in executive roles, including Vice President of Operations at Albertsons and Supervalu, and President of Farm Fresh. She later joined MDI as Vice President of Sales, focusing on enhancing the customer experience as a driver for business growth.

Micky’s leadership journey has always been guided by a deep belief in the power of mentorship. Her books—The Mentoring Blueprint and The Mentoring Blueprint Companion—serve as practical guides for fostering impactful mentor-mentee relationships. Her latest book, Boldly You!, expands on her “pay it forward” philosophy, encouraging others to embrace personal growth and leadership development. These books reflect the invaluable lessons she’s gained from mentors throughout her career and her desire to help others achieve their full potential.

Micky holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is also a graduate of several prestigious leadership programs, including Cornell Executive Leadership, FMI Leadership, and Senior Leadership Programs at Bentley College and Hartford University.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Micky has actively contributed to industry and community organizations, serving on multiple boards, including the Network of Executive Women, Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, and Junior Achievement of Hampton Roads. She has been recognized for her impact with numerous awards, including Progressive Grocer’s Top Women in Grocery, the Women in Business Achievement Award, and induction into the Connecticut Food Association Hall of Fame.
